Snowed In

12-20-08 We're snowed in, so just thought I'd add to more pictures to my winter collection here. Okay, I just have to share this first one TAKEN BY ALEK. :) He calls it, "Sharks in the Rain" and he wants to enter it into the county fair's photography contest next year. By the way, if you're sitting around with nothing to do (ha, ha) & would like to try this, it's really easy. Just put your camera in Shutter Priority mode and set it for 1-2 seconds. You may have to decrease your exposure compensation- I think I decreased mine by one full stop. Also, to get more in focus, use a high ISO so that your camera will choose a small aperture. If it shoots too wide open, the lines won't be as crisp. Oh, shoot, just put it in manual set up the same way. LOL! Okay, so here are mine. This one's called Code Blue. If you don't get it, don't worry, neither does anyone else. Graded Paper. Tornado Debris. Armed Robbery. Catch a Wave Coffee Shop LA Traffic Fishing in a Crowded Stream Little Dippers C is for Christmas And here is what you'd call Rainbowcicles. Christmas Light Bokeh. For this effect, just open up your aperture, crank up your ISO (you don't want blurry bokeh- although isn't bokeh, by definition, blur?! LOL!), put your camera in manual focus and throw the Christmas lights OUT of focus. More icicles. Dripping icicles.  This one is a TRIcicle- hee-hee! And this one's a BIcicle. MILLIE turned SIX and JOSIAH turned FOUR this month! That's all! :)
