Seattle

We spent a few hours at the Children's Museum in Seattle today per Gracie's (belated) birthday request. Besides the pretend grocery store, where the children could have happily played for hours, this exhibit seemed to draw the most interest- and not just from my own children. What is it? An exhibit on the process of digestion. That's right- digestion. We start with the mouth where, by the maneuvering of a joystick, the teeth will clamp open and closed. Next in line is a wheel you can turn which will rotate a mixer like object inside the stomach which demonstrates the churning and mixing of stomach contents. And lastly, well, you may be able to guess what comes next. The most fascinating step of all. That's right folks. Poo. Poo's the last step in the digestive process and the Children's Museum makes it possible for your children to view this step up close and personal. One quick push of a button is all it takes and down comes a large piece of poo. A lovely sight to behold. Be sure not to miss this exhibit! Don't be afraid, Josiah. Like the sign says, "Everyone poops!" Because Seattle just isn't Seattle if you don't get at least a little bit wet. (brrr!) Take. Me. To. Your. Leader. Run, girls! Run! Goodbye Seattle. Cute diner.
